My Purple Dashiki from Kufre Sodique

 I got this dashiki from a new brand called Kufre Sodique (@kufresodique on instagram). It's a menswear brand but they've just introduced these cute dashikis for ladies as well!

I've always liked dashikis. I like the ease and the comfort of something so simple to wear casually at home but this one from Kufre Sodique is perfect for an outing. 

It's made with high quality wool fabric and features stylish details like the embroidered neckline and a corduroy pocket, all in my favourite colour purple!

I wore mine for a house party with a pair of jeans and my favourite green & purple ankara turban for a pop of colour & print (you know me).
Then for jewelry I added some old wooden hoops I've had for ages to go with the whole African theme of the outfit.

 Love this, sandals and top match perfectly. I have a similar outfit here with orange actually, things like this excite me cuz it just makes dressing up a lot easier and I'm forever a fan of co-ords so why not match my shoes too!

...It's My Birthday! :)

I honestly just want to thank God for bringing me this far in life to see yet another year because I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for His grace and mercies upon me. I'm enjoying my journey and I know He isn't through with me, with Him all things are possible and if He is for me then no one can be against me.

Between the start of this year and now I have so many testimonies and all I can do is thank God for His mercies. I'm thankful to God for so many things, my life, family, relationship, friends that have become family, and the doors God has opened and is yet to open for me.

White & Cobalt

I think I'm falling for cobalt blue all over again!
When I got a cobalt jacket from a vintage shop online I fell in love with this rich hue of blue and went on to get a skirt from Asos in cobalt as well and they became one of my favourite pairings (see header).
You know... those outfits you run to when you think you have nothing to wear lol.
Then I saw this necklace in Zara once and knew I had to add it to my little Cobalt Collection, loved the pop of yellow. I couldn't wear all three items together, thought it would be an overkill but I had to pair it with the skirt... and along came this outfit!

A black top and a pair of black heels would work and I'd probably try that out later but a white t shirt from Forever 21 and nude Louboutin heels seemed perfect for me...
 I think I wear too much black.

Casual Day

I don't think I've ever done a post as casual as this and even if I have I doubt it included a polo shirt. I just always think outfits like this are a little too basic and uninspiring to put up here but I was in the mood for an ootd and I really wanted to show off this cool polo shirt I got from NACK.

I'm in love with the colour and the yellow details (on the buttons & crest) make me love the shirt even more, I'm definitely going back for some more colours. I wore this to lunch with my bestie, really casual spin on the typical date look, maybe a little too casual (and I've successfully used that word four times in this post Lol).

Yes of course we all know the popular Wiz Khalifa song the title was inspired by, I suck at creative blog post titles so free me. So sorry for leaving the blog hanging for so long, I've just been out a little out of it but I thank God still. Serious preparations fr exams have started but I will try to update frequently, my manager and photo editors are vexing (inside joke, hi guys!) Lol. It's a really simple outfit I wore to the library, but it's something! :)
