It's Blue, It's Green

This is like the perfect spring style picture I've ever taken. But no spring in Lagos.
I had no idea what I was going to call this post as usual, but it came to me when someone thought my Asos skirt was blue when I called it green... I know it has both colours on it but it was just fun arguing for jokes, then MJ's Black or White played in my head so I just had to.
It was either that or No Spring in Lagos.
I wore this out on a little date and ended up switching my heels for some random white sandals by the end of the day, I don't know how some of you ladies do it. I mean I love heels and they look nice, I especially love the way they elongate my legs and sometimes even make me look a little slimmer, but I just can't stand the pain. These heels from Zara aren't so high which makes them one of my fave (mostly cuz of the colour) but I just hate being uncomfortable for a long time, even kitten heels could be unbearable for me if worn for too long. Or maybe I'm just lazy... Duno!
Speaking of heels, I've been drooling over a few pairs lately, some I've seen on bloggers and others while window shopping online. I'm tempted to say I'd do a post on them but we'll see how that goes cuz I haven't been feeling very well, it took the grace of God to finally put this post together and I missed blogging so much! Miss taking pictures, miss dressing up... all of it! Soonish tho, I'll be back :)
Can't forget to give a belated birthday shout out to an amazing man I met a year ago who took these pictures and had fun editing as well! Happy birthday to my best friend Eghosa, some of you would have seen him on my instagram page a few times :)
And also to my friend & blogger Feyi Adesanya, I'm sorry again. But we spoke already and thanks for listening! x

White Lace

I ended up wearing this outfit for valentines day! Two snaps for three day valentines celebrations!
I'd have gotten into more detail about what we actually did but most of it consists of annoying Lagos traffic so I'd rather not. But the best part of it is you're stuck in traffic with someone you like and not driving alone wasting time trying to get to the person, the worst! So in the end, time isn't really wasted if you're spending it together.
It was an amazing weekend really especially cuz it also marks a year since I've been with my bestie :) #happydays It's also the first time I've been in a relationship for that long, I guess I was just always with the wrong person, not that I've been in a lot of relationships but he's perfect for me and I'm praying things only get better... eish moving on.
My top is from Zara, skirt from Asos and shoes from Next.
Love how the shoes add a little something extra to the outfit with the leopard print, they have to be my fave pair & the other white ones I bought from Next as well. Thinking of buying more comfy heeled sandals like this pair, it's a long term investment cuz I'll never get tired of them especially because their comfortable and it's all evident from the amount of times they keep reappearing on my blog.
I'll do a separate post about my hair, I don't know why it's when my hair is rough and old that it then starts to look nicer to the rest of the world and worse to me... I'd go on but I'll save it for my next post.

Hello Love in Yellow

We all know I'm all about the midi skirts, pencil, pleated, skater style, any style, I love them all!
I'm not saying curvy girls don't look good in other things but personally I think skirts fit me way more than any thing else I have in my closet these days. If it's not a T-shirt and jeans day for me then I'm definitely wearing that T-shirt with a midi skirt.
I had absolutely no idea what to call this post but banana just seemed best cuz of the green shoes you know, it being a fruit/plant. But there was mellow yellow, banana, make like a banana and split... what else was there? Yello'?!?!. But recently I heard Tiwa's song Love in yellow and I just love how she says "Hello love in yellow"
Valentines day is upon us and this is a cute date outfit if you ask me so feel inspired to copy away and be the one-colour-girl or your boo's Love in yellow for the day! Do put on proper makeup and may be a light pink lip. I just have lip gloss on, nothing special.
Again as I do, apologies for not blogging consistently and God bless you for always checking back.
Zara top and shoes, Asos skirt & Oscar de la Renta earrings.

The Lady Skirt

I must have tons of full midi skirts in various colours and fabrics, print, plain, black, white, mustard, navy, lace, jersey and some others so you'll be seeing a lot of them. I've always liked the easy lady like look it gives, I can dress it up or dress it down depending on how I feel or where I'm going but sometimes I just want the basic jeans and a shirt.
I follow the 4aces blog religiously and they recently spoke about the skirt as a trend but honestly it's a staple for me. I think it's mostly because I'm fuller on the bottom you know, the pear shaped girl that's very hippy and I try to dress right for my body shape. This skirt just fits right for me and makes me feel the most comfortable, but it's also important to wear the right underwear to avoid the VPL situation (I mean visible pant line... #petpeeves).
Before leaving London I went out with my darling friend Ore, I've featured her on my old blog and I'm honestly in love with her style as much as I'm in love with her, I miss her. We went for lunch at the breakfast club and it was YUM! Even better cuz I had the best company, lots of laughs and catching up.
